1. General prerequisites for attending

Basically all language courses are meant for adults. Adolescents, who have already turned 16, can also attend upon consultation, if they should have a declaration of consent, written by a parent. However, the courses are not adapted for teenagers under 16 years.

2. Binding nature and reservation of a place in the course

Every written registration is binding and commits you to full payment of the booked services, unless you haven’t cancelled these booked services in written form within the cancellation deadline. Your registration will be finally confirmed not until you have paid the booked services in full, paid down 50%, or submitted a confirmation of cost coverage by a third party (e.g. your employer or scholarship provider). Crucial is the in-payment on the bank account of the organiser, the presentation of an acknowledged receipt for payment or the declaration of cost coverage. Not until then the place in the course can be firmly confirmed.

3. Date of payment

The booked service has to be fully paid in advance by no later than the start of its utilisation (thus the first lesson). If the payment isn't made fully until the beginning of the next day, there is no right to reservation of the place in the course no right to tuition, as long as student and tudor havent' explicitly entered into any different agreement. Notwithstanding the above, the obligation to pay in full remains unaffected.

4. Method of payment

The payment has to be made by bank transfer or PayPal.

5. Cancellation deadline

The termination with notice of a teaching unit by the student is possible by 24 hours before the beginning of this teaching unit. In case of private tuition, the teaching unit can be postponed or rescheduled to the following unit, whereby the end of the course is consequently postponed to a later date. Unfortunately this solution is impracticable in the case of group lessons because of the impairments of other group participants, which thereby arise. In this case the lesson is regarded as given, whereby the absent student will be informed about the subject matter and encouraged to rework the subject by the beginning of the next teaching unit. However, if the termination of a teaching unit by the student should be issued as recently as within the last 24 hours before this teaching unit, the cancelled teaching unit is regarded as given and paid.

6. Absence of a student

If a student shouldn't be able to participate in a language course, which has already started, in whole or in part for reasons, which are linked to her resp. him (e.g. illness or personal obligations), she resp. he doesn't qualify for the refund of the course fee or the participation in a course at a later date as an alternative.

7. Absence of the tutor

If a teaching unit shouldn't be given for reasons, which are linked to the tutor (e.g. illness or personal obligations), the tutor arranges an alternative date with the students resp. postpones the unit to the date of the following unit, whereby the end of the course is also postponed consequently to a later date.

8. Teaching matter

The teaching material is determined by the level of the students. The tutor discerns the level by a placement test beforehand.

9. Teaching materials

The supplementary materials supporting teaching units, which the tutor has named the students, have to be bought by the students themselves. The expenses for the teaching materials are not covered by the tuition fee.

10. Place of jurisdiction and application of law

Georgensgmuend, the place of business of Learn Languages Easily, is generally agreed as the place of jurisdiction and fulfilment. Solely the law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies to the legal validity of the parties involved.

11. Severability clause

If current or future terms of these GTC should not be legally effective or practicable in whole or in part or should lose their legal effect or practicability at a later date, the legal force of the remaining terms remains unaffected by that. The same is true if it should become apparent, that these GTC should comprise an omission. Instead of the void or impracticable terms or to fill the omission an appropriate clause shall apply, which - as far as legally practicaple - comes closest to what Learn Languages Easily has wanted or would have wanted according to the sense and purpose of these GTC.
